Dr. Ram Aligeti grew up in a small village in India and joined Advanced Heart Care in July 2012. After graduating from medical school Dr. Aligeti pursued his masters’ degree in Public Health at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. During his residency at University of Tennessee, Memphis he worked in the Genetic Research Laboratory involving lipids and various lipid modifying regimens. Dr. Aligeti also received advanced fellowship training in cardiac imaging (echocardiography and nuclear cardiology) at Harvard University Boston. After completion of general cardiology fellowship, completed an interventional fellowship training involving technical competency and expertise to perform percutaneous coronary interventions, peripheral interventions, carotid stenting, endovascular aortic aneurysm repairs and closure of atrial septal defects and PFOs.
