Melissa Coltman was born and raised in Alaska but moved to Texas during her high school years. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. She was a bedside nurse for 8 years, working in critical care, the emergency department, and PACU. She graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing in 2016, specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner, from Texas Woman’s University. As a board-certified family nurse practitioner by the AANP, she has worked in electrophysiology and a small portion in primary care medicine.
She joined Advanced Heart Care in January 2025, excited to resume her work in the field of electrophysiology in the Sherman office. She is licensed as a nurse practitioner in both Texas and
Oklahoma.
She married her college sweet heart and they have three sons. Her interests include reading, cooking, and finding places to go hiking with her family.
