Shahzeb Khan, MD MSc completed his residency in internal medicine at Cook County Health System Chicago and fellowship in cardiology at Duke University Medical Center. He also holds a master’s degree in clinical sciences from Rush University. Dr. Khan specializes in preventive cardiology, especially cardiometabolic diseases- the intersection of diabetes, obesity, heart and kidney disease. Dr. Khan is also an expert in treating various types of heart failure including heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, cardiac amyloidosis, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and cancer patients who develop cardiovascular complications.

Dr. Khan is an internationally recognized expert in cardiometabolic diseases and heart failure. He has authored and co-authored more than 350 peer reviewed publications. He is involved in various clinical trials, and is an associate editor of Heart Failure Reviews and European Society of Cardiology-Heart Failure. Dr. Khan is strongly committed to compassionate patient care with a focus on quality of life and patient preference.
